About the role

  • You will take responsibility for building and further developing our BCM (Business Continuity Management):
  • Conceptualization and development: Creation of BCM documentation (policies, manuals, processes, etc.) and development of concepts and plans to improve and establish BCM.
  • Communication: Organizing information sessions and training for business units.
  • BIA and risk analysis: Supporting the execution of Business Impact Analyses to identify critical processes and their maximum allowable downtimes.
  • Emergency planning: Preparing business continuity, recovery, and restart plans in close, guiding collaboration with business units (especially IT).
  • Scenario development: Designing BCM scenarios and applying them to business continuity plans.
  • Crisis management: Establishing a crisis team process and planning communications as the ICT communications manager.
  • Testing & exercises: Designing a multi-year BCM test plan and initiating and leading BCM tests.
  • Additionally/optionally, you would build and later lead the IKS (Internal Control System).

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in BCM or Risk Management and IKS, ideally in the financial sector, a regulated tech environment, or consulting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for BCM (e.g., MaRisk, DORA, BSI 200-4).
  • You are willing to "roll up your sleeves" and independently implement concepts, plans, and tasks from start to finish.
  • You are motivated to take topics from inception through to implementation and are not deterred by complex interdependencies and long-term assignments.
  • You enjoy familiarizing yourself with new or changing regulatory requirements and are willing to develop your expertise in these areas.
  • Business-fluent German and English.
