About the role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to identify, scope, and solve customer problems using data science and machine learning.
  • Design, develop, and deploy statistical models and ML solutions that power customer-facing features and internal product intelligence.
  • Work with large-scale, real-world datasets (including structured, semi-structured, and workflow-generated data) to uncover patterns and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Build end-to-end data science workflows, including data exploration, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Partner with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure models are reliable, performant, explainable, scalable, cost-efficient at product scale, and production-ready.
  • Define and measure success using clear metrics, experimentation, and post-launch analysis.
  • Contribute to responsible AI practices, including transparency, bias awareness, data quality, and model governance.
  • Communicate insights, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Help shape best practices for applied data science within a modern, product-led organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an applied data science or machine learning role within a product or technology-driven organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  • Experience working with SQL and modern data warehouses or data lake architectures.
  • Solid grounding in statistics, machine learning methods, and model evaluation.
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, or supporting models in production environments.
  • Comfort working with ambiguous problem spaces and imperfect data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
