About the role
- Set the vision and strategic plan for construction operations, aligning project goals with the organization's mission and business objectives.
- Direct and supervise multiple project managers and construction teams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and manage multimillion-dollar project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor financial performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, and company executives, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing project disruptions.
- Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and relationship building with new and existing clients.
- Lead initiatives to improve construction processes, adopt new technologies, and implement best practices for operational excellence.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in either Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Technical or Building Automation focused degree
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with significant leadership responsibility on large-scale projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales within the commercial building and HVAC controls industry.
- Established network of industry contacts and relationships.
- Skilled in value engineering control system designs and proposing cost-effective alternatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective communicator across all levels of an organization.
