About the role

  • Develop Software Asset Management (SAM)
  • Establish and further develop a group-wide Software Asset Management program
  • Develop and maintain policies, processes and standards for license management
  • Manage software costs and usage
  • Analyze license models and license volumes
  • Identify opportunities to optimize software spending
  • Ensure compliance in the management and use of software licenses
  • Serve as the interface between IT, Procurement and business units
  • Advise internal stakeholders on license models and licensing strategies
  • Support contract reviews and license negotiations
  • Build structured license and usage reporting
  • Provide actionable recommendations for management and IT
  • Support the selection and implementation of a Software Asset Management tool
  • Establish sustainable processes for license administration and compliance

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in license management, Software Asset Management or IT procurement
  • Knowledge of common licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
  • Ideally experience with SAM tools or ITSM systems
  • Analytical and structured approach to work
  • Very good German and good English skills
