Full-stack Engineer

• Be a key partner in driving direction and goals for the team, both in terms of individual project impacts but also overall standards for Generative AI utilization in the organization
• Lead process and technology teams in developing integration, end-to-end, and UAT test strategy as well as testing activities
• Help drive the broader understanding of the use of Generative AI by interfacing with key roles in Operations, Legal, Security, and Technology
• Stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be
• Lead, mentor, and develop other engineers using technical expertise, best practices and industry standards for Generative AI systems

Principal Engineer, AI/ML

• Identify new opportunities for ML and AI solutions and build and cultivate relationships with leaders across the organization to foster those partnerships
• Influence partners and stakeholders in Data Science and other teams across the organization to prioritize objectives and provide a comprehensive approach to solution recommendations that includes ROI, time to market, scalability as well as alternative recommendations
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership to share progress, raise any roadblocks or impediments to delivery, and also spread awareness of your teams’ achievements
• Create the strategic roadmap that will guide the direction and goals for the team, both in terms of individual project impacts but also overall standards for machine learning and AI utilization in the organization

Senior Manager, AI & ML

• Enhance and innovate CarMax’s auction website through scalable, customer‑focused engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to design, test, and deliver impactful product enhancements.
• Translate experimentation and user insights into refined digital experiences.
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and continuous delivery practices.
• Promote technical ideas across the organization with clarity and purpose.
• Apply strong analytical skills to solve complex business challenges.

Senior Software Engineer

• Design and deliver cloud native services, APIs, and applications using .NET (C#), Azure PaaS, containerized environments, and modern integration patterns.
• Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices, including automated testing, IaC (Bicep and YAML), monitoring, and alerting, to enhance reliability and deployment speed.
• Develop customer facing workflows and backend services that improve efficiency, usability, and transparency across the appraisal journey.
• Collaborate across product, design, and architecture teams to translate concepts into high impact production solutions.
• Support team owned systems through on-call rotations (as applicable).
• Apply emerging technologies and engineering best practices to continuously improve product quality and team performance.
• Contribute to full lifecycle development—from discovery and prototyping to implementation and operational excellence.
