About the role

  • Sell directly to consumers or business purchasers, or indirectly through various sales channels.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships for future sales.
  • Participate in assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
  • Help support business growth by disseminating information that promotes the organization and its products/services.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Coordinate market research, pricing, and sales/merchandising activities.
  • Participate in status and strategy meetings with customers' senior management.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under supervision, while escalating complex issues to appropriate staff.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Knowledge of grain and crop inputs operations and products
  • Sales experience
