About the role
- Sell directly to consumers or business purchasers, or indirectly through various sales channels.
- Identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships for future sales.
- Participate in assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.
- Help support business growth by disseminating information that promotes the organization and its products/services.
- Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
- Coordinate market research, pricing, and sales/merchandising activities.
- Participate in status and strategy meetings with customers' senior management.
- Handle basic issues and problems under supervision, while escalating complex issues to appropriate staff.
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Knowledge of grain and crop inputs operations and products
- Sales experience
