Responsible for managing large-scale portfolio programs aligned to strategic objectives that include multiple projects.
Responsible for successful delivery of program; ensure program milestone deliverables are completed and approved at every stage of the program lifecycle.
Assist with the continuous improvement of program / project management best practices, processes, and tools.
Responsible for ensuring program closure activities are completed; lead stakeholders in the refinement of the program charter.
Collaborate with business owners and sponsor on the identification and assignment of business resources and with IT point of contact on identification and assignment of IT resources.
Develop and maintain overall program schedule and WBS ensuring that all project schedules roll up appropriately; develop program resource plan and forecast of EPMO FTEs and contractors.
Ensure compliance to EPMO Governance audit requirements; develop and maintain program budget; capture and consolidate EPMO, IT and business estimates for the program.
Assess, manage, and control program scope, schedule, and budget change impacts; identify, log, and manage risk, implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Maintain program stakeholder matrix; drive cross-functional communication between impacted business and IT areas; work with Talent Development and Communications to develop project communication and training plans.
Mentor project managers and business analysts of all levels; facilitate and drive Program Stakeholder meetings; represent program in governance meetings.
Provide regular reporting and maintain ongoing communications to senior management, stakeholders and executive sponsors; track, compile and report program metrics and budget.
Maintain program RAID; identify, log, assign and resolve or escalate program issues, hindrances, and blockers using company best practices.
Responsible for quality or program SharePoint site and program document repository; produce detailed reports, business decision documents, meeting minutes, and notification on assigned program.
Develop program operations and support plan; perform any other job duties as requested.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
Master’s Degree in related field is preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience is required
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification/training is required; Program Management Certification (PgMP) is preferred
Experience managing a project of up to $10M+ in budget
Ability to proactively, effectively and efficiently lead a project team of 20+ core members and multiple vendors
Proven ability to prioritize work and team assignments to deliver projects on time, on budget, and meeting stakeholders expectations
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, Outlook, etc.
Experience working in project management software is required
Deep understanding of project management processes, techniques and tools, and development lifecycle (ideally Agile)
Strong experience in the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare
