About the role
- Develop training curricula that meets regulatory requirements and aligns with organizational goals
- Oversee new staff orientation in collaboration with CSU and the clinical team
- Partner with clinical leadership to enable continuous improvement and accuracy of content for new staff orientation
- Conduct annual evaluation of new hire training and monthly trainings to ascertain educational needs
- Research developments in the fields of case management and incorporate state and accreditation requirements into education and training
- Act as resource for case management/care coordination staff to identify development needs and solutions
- Identify and address knowledge or skill gaps by developing and evaluating targeted educational programs
- Collaborate with case management and care coordination teams to identify process gaps and implement improvements
- Serve as a regional liaison to facilitate continuity and enhance clinical practice education
- Maintain records of annual trainings and e-manuals/quick tools for Care Management/Care Coordinator resources
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing when updates are made to the electronic medical record system
- Coordinate with reporting team on trends and reporting triggers within the electronic medical record system
- Develop & deliver educational materials as necessary and act as Subject Matter Expert for new market launches
- Provide care management insights for new product implementations and participate in implementation of new business initiatives
- Support clinical staff with 1:1 review of processes and documentation and reinforce best practices
- Identify risk areas within operational processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) or Social Work degree program is required
- Advanced degree associated with clinical licensure is preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of Case Management experience is required
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in state of practice is required
- Case Management certification is preferred
- Training/teaching experience and demonstrated knowledge of adult learning environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with strong public speaking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and clinical documentation systems
- Ability to translate staff needs into a diverse range of learning and performance improvement strategies
- Ability to develop, prioritize, and achieve goals including clear, measurable objectives
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible
- Employment is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver’s license record check and criminal background check
