About the role
- Oversee the day to day accounting activities and monitor the company's general ledger to ensure accurate and timely month-end close.
- Lead the ASC 606 revenue determinations and accounting treatments. Collaborate across teams to review revenue recognition policies based on contract reviews.
- Work closely with the Sr. Director Accounting to lead and complete annual external audits and tax filings.
- Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation.
- Review, approve, and prepare account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy of postings.
- Actively support departmental process improvement and automation initiatives by identifying workflow gaps and contributing to efficiency-driven solutions.
- Review and process all intercompany and subsidiary transactions.
- Coordinate with management and employees to ensure compliance of accounting policies.
- Support stock compensation reporting requirements.
- Identify and lead process improvement opportunities to increase effectiveness, and timeliness of financial reports.
- Mentor and support staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
- Support cross-team special projects.
Requirements
- 8+ years of accounting experience or CPA with 4+ years of accounting in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with NetSuite is required.
- Strong proficiency in excel is preferred.
- Some previous managerial or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
