About the role

  • Oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy across all accounting activities
  • Work closely with our Accountant based in the Athens Office, reviewing accounting of our entities.
  • Own and drive the monthly close process, ensuring all month-end activities are completed accurately and within defined deadlines
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly reconciliations, including balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions
  • Own and manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution
  • Handle external reporting, including reporting to SKAT and Denmark Statistics, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Act as the owner of the expense management system, ensuring proper usage, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Support the Finance team in driving automation and optimization projects across finance processes
  • Prepare documentation and act as a key finance contact during audits, working closely with external auditors
  • Maintain clear documentation, processes, and controls to ensure transparency and scalability
  • Contribute to improving finance workflows, systems, and ways of working as Capture One continues to grow

Requirements

  • Experience as Financial Controller, Senior Accountant (or similar finance role) in an international or fast-growing company
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliations, payroll, and statutory reporting
  • Proven experience owning or coordinating the month-end close process
  • Experience working with external auditors and preparing audit documentation
  • Familiarity with Danish reporting requirements (SKAT, Statistics Denmark) is a strong advantage
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and highly organized approach to financial operations
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with both local and international colleagues
  • A proactive mindset with an interest in process automation and optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
