About the role
- Reconcile & record weekly bank deposits with Ticketmaster settlements.
- Prepare ticket revenue entries for baseball games and special events.
- Reconcile monthly deferred revenue accounts.
- Prepare weekly ticket reports for CPL teams.
- Prepare revenue entries and necessary accruals for food & beverage operations.
- Prepare commission statements after each homestand for our contractors.
- Prepare cost of sale estimates monthly.
- Assist with physical inventory and post adjustments to GL.
- Investigate all charge backs and work with Assistant Business Manager for resolution.
- Assist with accounts payable during the baseball season and staff outages.
- Reconcile vendor statements for any discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts receivable by generating invoices, processing payments, and following upon overdue accounts.
- Perform and/or assist with bank account reconciliations.
- Actively assist with other month-end closing duties such as booking recurring journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
- Perform and/or assist with monthly Baseball accounting as assigned.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline or enhance accounting processes.
- Collaborate with the Supervisors and peers on special projects as needed.
- Contribute to other ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed to support the team and organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to learn quickly, ask questions and communicate effectively.
- 1-3 years accounting experience or completed accounting internship.
