About the role
- Lead the Country Risk team within Operational Risk Management
- Oversee and effectively challenge Capital One’s international business activities
- Lead efforts to enhance Capital One’s framework, requirements, processes, and expectations for international business activities
- Develop enhanced program requirements to oversee new and existing international functions
- Create a collaborative environment with other risk teams and various partner groups
- Deliver exceptional People Leadership to provide coaching and feedback to team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 8 years of experience in risk, compliance, legal or audit
- At least 8 years of experience in project management, governance or international operations
- At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients or serving as a consultant for external business clients
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in country risk management, oversight of foreign operations or third party management (preferred)
- 3+ years of project management experience leading cross functional programs in risk (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience providing risk oversight or effective challenge activities or experience conducting audits in a financial institution environment (preferred)
