About the role
- Prepare and review accounting-related activities, such as journal entries and reconciliations
- Analyze and account for new equity investments
- Serve as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for our lending special purpose vehicles (SPV)
- Respond to requests from Finance and key business partners
- Present results, findings, risks and recommendations to leadership
- Collaborate with several teams across the organization on various corporate initiatives
- Contribute to process improvement through project development and knowledge sharing
- Participate in key corporate projects such as technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, finance, or a combination
- At least 2 years of experience with Google Office or Microsoft Office products, or a combination
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, or finance, or a combination (preferred)
- Experience in the Financial Services industry (preferred)
- Experience accounting for investments under the Equity Method and/or Equity Security Accounting Guidance (preferred)
