About the role
- Create the strategy and lead a team through delivering resources and operational processes that support volunteering efforts
- Collaborate with team members and cross enterprise business contacts to drive results that align business strategy and social impact
- Deliver volunteerism solutions that maintain tools, collateral, and best practices for a self-service model
- Lead the operational strategy for Capital One’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance through volunteerism hours
- Set and analyze key performance metrics for the team that indicate volunteer engagement and participation
- Maintain visibility to volunteerism data and serve as product owner for our volunteer platform (VIP)
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to close identified CRA volunteer hour gaps
- Develop actionable project plans around customer insights to define priorities for your team
- Lead a small team of associates to drive complex projects and programs through strategic direction and people development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in process management or project management, or a combination
- At least 1 year of experience in volunteerism, talent engagement, or associate morale experience
- At least 1 year of experience in people leadership
- 4+ years of experience in process management (Preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience with community organizing, nonprofit, or political experience (Preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on clarity, persuasion, and data-driven storytelling (Preferred)
- Experience using AI for job efficiencies (Preferred)
