About the role
- Co-own the delivery of key projects with the product and architecture teams from planning through release, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and success criteria.
- Partner with the product manager to translate product and business goals into actionable roadmaps and plans, aligning on priorities and trade-offs
- Track progress, manage risks and dependencies, and keep stakeholders aligned on status, decisions, and trade-offs.
- Drive technical decision-making to support reliable, scalable, and maintainable delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment with a strong focus on outcomes and accountability.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and coaching sessions to support team growth, performance, and engagement.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements that accelerate delivery.
- Work closely with the product team, design, and other groups to ensure we’re building the right things in the right order.
- Continuously refine how the team works (planning, estimation, QA, release practices) to improve predictability and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role leading a development team, and responsible for delivering projects end-to-end in co-ownership with a product team.
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern web development frameworks.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with coordination, prioritization, and cross-functional communication.
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineers, with a focus on both performance and outcomes.
- Experience conducting code reviews, technical interviews, and performance evaluations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including managing production issues and implementing durable fixes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders around plans and trade-offs.
