About the role
- About Capella Space: Capella Space is a pioneer in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite technology and space-based signal intelligence.
Role summary: Implement and manage secure infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, containers, monitoring, and incident response in support of SAR satellite operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement automation pipelines for software development and deployment
- Manage and monitor infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
- Collaborate with software developers to optimize application performance and reliability
- Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Configure and maintain database systems and related tools
- Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions
- Work with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business needs
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevSecOps
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a DevOps role or equivalent
Understanding and familiarity of/with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
Some experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet
Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with database systems, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus or ELK stack
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
