About the role
- Perform comprehensive triage of referrals and medical records to determine urgency, risk, and appropriate care pathway.
- Deliver telephone/video triage using internal policies and best practice to support decision making
- Identify exclusions, contraindications and safeguarding concerns and escalate in line with Montu policies and national guidance.
- Provide accurate and timeous record keeping
- Signpost internally and externally, escalate and refer internally as required
- Lead or contribute to pathway audits, SOP updates, and outcome measurement (e.g., PROMs, time‑to‑treatment metrics).
- Support creation of patient education materials and digital triage scripts.
- Champion clinical governance, incident reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Lead or contribute to service development for physiotherapists in the company
Requirements
- HCPC‑registered Physiotherapist; member of CSP (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ post‑registration experience with at least 2 at Band 6+ level; strong clinical background.
- Demonstrable expertise in remote/telephone triage and safety‑netting.
- Advanced clinical reasoning, confident autonomous decision‑maker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex info into patient‑friendly language.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, tech‑enabled environment (EMRs, telehealth platforms, digital PROMs).
- Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Experience in pain management services, cannabis‑based medicinal products, or other adjunctive therapies (desirable).
- Prior work within a start‑up/scale‑up or busy healthcare setting (desirable).
- Experience creating SOPs, audits, or service redesign projects (desirable).
