Smart Building Consultant – Healthcare Program Manager

Electrical Engineer

• Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction. Initiate project designs and help to develop design goals and systems.
• Oversee, guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to designers and engineering team.
• Participate or lead project teamwork planning sessions.
• May serve as project manager or project engineering leader and lead engineering meetings.
• Assume project engineering responsibilities and adhere to financial and work goals.
• Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications and/or telecommunication systems for healthcare, education/higher education and commercial clients per applicable codes.

Project Electrical Engineer V

• Identifying and being responsible for the digital requirements on a project, typically including BIM strategies, specifications, data requirements, any advanced model delivery as well as any advanced use of technology on the project
• Working with the Design Technology team to identify best practices and standard workflows as well as new strategies and tools and defining the how they will be utilized on large programs and ensuring that they are executed on the project
• Based on project specific needs either adopt CannonDesign processes and protocols or develop the needed enhancements to satisfy the project requirements and lead development or training on processes
• Establishing and leading recurring technology related meetings such as client BIM engagement meetings, contractor BIM coordination, clash detection sessions or digitally enabled design review sessions as needed
• Depending on the size of the project/program, leading a team of model managers and BIM specialists to ensure that the digital delivery is cohesive and standardized across the program delivery mechanisms
• Partnering with consultants and our clients to ensure that the digital health of the models is maintained, and digital collaboration is supported as needed
• Responsible for identifying additional technology opportunities to be leveraged on the project, leading to better client outcomes and advancing firm expertise

Senior Project Design Technologist

Content Writer

• Utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types including education, healthcare, science and technology, commercial, and interior design initiatives.
• Work as part of the project team, under the guidance of the Architect of Record, to produce Project Manuals utilizing the CannonDesign Master with specification editing software.
• Author Division 00-14 Architectural sections, and custom sections as needed, for inclusion in the Project Manual.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines – phases, milestone deliverables for various project delivery types.
• With a Specification Coordinator, coordinate the Project Manual for all other disciplines.
• Review and provide revisions to project-specific Keynotes.
• Review in-progress drawings to ensure complete and coordinated technical specifications and offer modifications and improvements.
• Propose continual development and improvement of master specifications including specialized content for project type or regional conditions and sustainable design content.
• Maintain knowledge of industry reference standards and resources and attend industry conferences as required.
• Participate in progress meetings scheduled for assigned projects and educate less experienced staff regarding specification content.
• During CA Phase, assist project team with shop drawing and product substitution review as required.

• Identify and assist in creating content to enhance our digital asset and detail libraries.
