Business Development Rep

• Conduct sales and business development activities consistent with the corporate mission, values and departmental financial objectives
• Meet the Canam business development annual objectives as established by the VP of Business Development
• Identify and qualify companies (Multi residential real estate Developers/Owners, design build general contractors, Architects, etc.) with building construction needs in the multifamily residential sector
• Continually research targeted client profile needs and develop better building solution offers
• Promote Canam products and services in collaboration with consultants within the construction industry
• Travel frequently within assigned territory and sometimes on short notice to maintain and build business relationships by meeting face-to-face with customers
• Obtain information required to prepare complete proposal
• Demonstrate an energetic and enthusiastic approach to customer service, balanced with strong negotiation and decision-making abilities
• Negotiate, interpret and explain proposals and contractual agreements to customers
• Attend and participate in construction industry conferences, seminars, trade shows and various networking events
• Collaborate with pre-construction coordinator, the estimating and project management teams
• Develop and sustain a strong network of contacts within the building construction industry
