About the role
- Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements with a focus on IIW solutions which involve Intelligent Document Processing, Workflow and Automation capabilities.
- Author user stories and work with Technical Developers to groom, refine and prioritize into logical components based on estimates and time available.
- Define and document business rules, and decision logic to support automated processes.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of IDP, workflow and automation.
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend enhancements, optimizations, and new automation opportunities.
- Conduct impact assessments & risk analysis for new automation opportunities.
- Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements for intake and workflow.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, lead user acceptance testing and business exploration of new solutions, support change acceptance, and support training & change management.
- Facilitate both remote and in-person working sessions with key stakeholders.
- Lead your work independently, creating project plans for your activities, communicating and meeting due dates.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Senior Business Analysts in an individual contributor capacity (no direct reports).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, IDP, workflow and business rule automation, process improvement, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and stakeholder management
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, working with incomplete information to drive clarity and actionable next steps.
- Experience in financial services, insurance or investments is an asset.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in agile environments.
- Experience in rules harvesting, rules authoring, decision automation, business rules management systems, and rules-based decisioning frameworks is an asset.
- Financial services, insurance business or investments knowledge is an asset.
