About the role
- Actively participate in the creation of project business cases, including cost benefit analysis
- Contribute to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies
- Support the critical maintenance of our disability systems by troubleshooting complex systems issues
- Drive stakeholder engagement by facilitating workshops and interviews to identify and document business needs
- Collaborate with technology stakeholders to ensure understanding of the business requirements and obtain sign-off
- Develop and demonstrate subject-matter expertise in our disability systems
- Create and evaluate test plans and outcomes
- Present recommendations to senior leaders in the organization
- Lead resources on larger projects that may include developing formal project plans
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or comparable role
- Post-secondary education in business or a similar/related field
- Experience in coaching, training, or assisting other staff
- Solution focused – enjoys the challenge of problem solving
- An enthusiastic team player who enjoys sharing knowledge, experience, and ideas
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor communication style to the audience
- Effective time management skills; able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines/projects
- Experience in applying skills using Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, and Visio
- Knowledge of disability claims and Group Insurance systems is an asset
