About the role
- Proactively shape the image and perception of JWN’s corporate brand
- Foster strong relationships with policymakers and media representatives
- Direct JWN’s public response on issues in the public domain
- Negotiate complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Provide leadership and vision to the Public Affairs function
- Oversee corporate communications and crisis communication
- Manage engagement with government agencies and stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and NGOs
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of proven public affairs experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing senior-level teams
- Ability to influence and communicate at all levels within an organization
- Proven external stakeholder engagement track record
- Experience in corporate communications
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit organizations
- Familiar with cross-cultural issues
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Familiarity with sustainability, environmental policy, or corporate responsibility is a plus.
- MBA and a First Degree with major in Public Affairs / International Relations
