About the role
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets and increase software market share within the territory.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying growth opportunities, securing new clients, and expanding within existing accounts.
- Maintain a rolling forecast for the business which produces and accuracy of +5% and –3% on a quarterly basis.
- Lead the team through the implementation of new tools to grow the sales funnel – intro and use of Salesforce, Apollo, and GONG as examples.
- Strategically leverage AI in your workflow and promote it the Team’s processes to gain efficiencies throughout the Sales organization.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, in separate “Hunter” and “Renewal” roles, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers, serving as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensuring a high level of service.
- Work closely with marketing, product management, and engineering teams to optimize customer experience, product positioning, and solution delivery.
- Analyze sales performance metrics, provide insights to senior management and implement improvements for continuous growth and efficiency.
- Negotiate sales contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) with clients to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Manage go-to-market costs in accordance with agreed upon sales and expense plan.
- Serve as the main contact and conduit to the SigmaNEST organization for a few specified “key accounts” with a focus on expansion, solidifying renewals, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 15+ years in sales within CAD/CAM or software solutions, with at least 5 years in a people leadership position.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of CAD/CAM software solutions and applications in manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, drive cross-functional collaboration, and develop talent.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, develop actionable insights, and drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with high-level stakeholders and key customers.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools or automation to improve productivity and operational effectiveness, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and apply such technologies at scale.
- Must be able to travel up to 50%, with variability based on project needs.
