Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data
Supervises accounting staff in day-to-day operations of accounting functions
Ensures all analysis and reporting are accurate and compliant with accounting policies
Review and approve journal entries ensuring timeliness and accuracy
Ensure timely and efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Maintain the integrity of accounting records
Supervise and develop Accounting staff
Adhere to Federal and State laws and regulation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
1 to 3 years of supervisory experience
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains desirable
Exposure to insurance systems and knowledge of insurance desirable
