About the role

  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team
  • Supports filing, recruiting and onboarding activities, HR projects, employee inquiries, compliance reporting, and HRIS (Paylocity) administration
  • Scans, sorts, organizes, and disposes of employee files in accordance with record retention guidelines
  • Reviews and cleans up older personnel files to ensure documents are accurately categorized
  • Supports recruiting and onboarding by posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating background checks, and assisting with orientation
  • Partners with hiring managers to confirm job description updates and role requirements
  • Responds to basic employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook; escalates complex issues as needed
  • Supports compliance reporting and documentation (e.g., EEO, OSHA, and other required filings)

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of administrative, customer service, or HR-related experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable learning and using HR systems; experience with Paylocity is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
