About the role
- Provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team
- Supports filing, recruiting and onboarding activities, HR projects, employee inquiries, compliance reporting, and HRIS (Paylocity) administration
- Scans, sorts, organizes, and disposes of employee files in accordance with record retention guidelines
- Reviews and cleans up older personnel files to ensure documents are accurately categorized
- Supports recruiting and onboarding by posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating background checks, and assisting with orientation
- Partners with hiring managers to confirm job description updates and role requirements
- Responds to basic employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook; escalates complex issues as needed
- Supports compliance reporting and documentation (e.g., EEO, OSHA, and other required filings)
Requirements
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
- 1–3 years of administrative, customer service, or HR-related experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Comfortable learning and using HR systems; experience with Paylocity is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
