Build foundational FinOps capabilities, including cost visibility, forecasting, dashboards, and actionable reporting
Establish and lead Calendly’s FinOps practice
Analyze infrastructure usage and cost drivers
Partner with Infrastructure and Data teams to influence architecture, tooling, and operational decisions
Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to support budgeting, forecasting, and vendor cost optimization efforts
Translate complex cost and usage data into clear recommendations

Requirements

8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, FinOps, or a related technical role
Deep hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms and SaaS providers (e.g., GCP or AWS; Datadog, Elastic, managed databases)
Proven ability to define and drive cost optimization initiatives from problem identification through technical execution and measurable outcomes
Experience operating effectively in high-ambiguity environments
Strong analytical skills with a track record of turning complex billing and usage data into strategic, durable engineering solutions
Exceptional communication skills
Availability for on-call rotation.
