About the role
- Work with customers to optimize furnace operations process and practices
- Collecting operational data from customers
- Writing reports and recommendations
- Furnace slag chemistry analysis and recommendations
- Trial and refractory installation support
- Creating and presenting best practice SOP on EAF operations
Requirements
- Metallurgical degree or 10 years equivalent experience in EAF, and/or AOD steelmaking operations required. Refractory installation knowledge of EAF’s is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of refractory applications in EAF, and/or AOD steelmaking process with an excellent working knowledge of metallurgical slags and the effects of operational practices.
- Minimum of 10 years EAF, or AOD operational melting and steelmaking experience on refractory performance
- Strong customer presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Work and PowerPoint
- Minimum of high school diploma.
