About the role

  • Perform accurate bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Handle significant amounts of data entry and administrative work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage and organize emails, create tasks, and help prioritize activities for an efficient workflow
  • Communicate directly with clients in a professional and supportive manner
  • Actively use and rely on Keeper and/or other accounting tools/software
  • Proactively raise concerns, suggest improvements, and ensure important matters are addressed
  • Provide general administrative support to the financial services team as needed

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper, Payroll Specialist, or in a similar financial or administrative role (introductory-level bookkeeping knowledge acceptable)
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (client-facing communication required)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative work
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, resourceful, and willing to speak up when issues or opportunities arise
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player
  • Inclusive mindset and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks ProAdvisor) are a plus
