Furnish information concerning pending and closed matters and determine referral urgency
Operate multi-line telephone switchboard, route calls, take messages, and place outgoing calls
Respond to public inquiries and advise contact with appropriate agencies when outside USAO purview
Receive, review, annotate, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, FedEx/UPS deliveries; notify staff and place in internal mail box
Provide courier services to courthouses and state/federal agencies to file and deliver legal documents
Provide copying, faxing, large mail out support, and prepare documents for imaging/scanning
Assemble/disassemble documents ensuring originals are reassembled to original state
Stock office supplies, maintain copy rooms, and provide inventory lists for purchases
Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and make service calls as necessary
Escort and monitor bi-weekly on-site shredding vendor pick-ups
Maintain Library: receive/process new publications, update loose leaf publications, and distribute new publications
Assist attorneys and support staff with trial preparation (photocopying, collating, trial notebooks)
Perform scanning, duplicating media (VCR tapes, CDs, DVDs), and establish/maintain files
Separate, assemble, and organize files for disposition or transfer to records depository and assist with closing and archiving files
Perform docketing duties using LIONS automated case tracking system and search databases for information
Perform data searches, report design, and data retrieval assignments
Requirements
Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure
Must be able to read and follow instructions
Must be able to understand task objectives and the context of the task in the litigation support effort
Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly
Typing/keyboarding skills
Good communication skills
Knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems
Undergraduate degree preferred
Litigation support experience valued
DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)
Able to lift up to 30 pounds
