About the role
- Installing and configuring virtual machines (VMs) or EC2 instances.
- Using Ansible and Terraform automation scripts for configuration.
- Deploying Platform1's Big Bang containers into a Kubernetes cluster.
- Installing additional hardware devices at the operational site.
- Installing a scaled-down version of DAF Cw Managed Services, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Configuring the environment for DDIL conditions.
- Continuously monitoring the deployment for operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- DoD 8570 IAT 2 (Security+ or CISSP)
- Minimum of 7 yrs experience in a Software/System Engineer role.
- Proficiency in administering Linux/RHEL systems.
- Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies including vSphere and ESXi.
- Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically EC2 and S3.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience with Ansible for Configuration Management and automation (desired).
- Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code (desired).
- Familiarity with K9s (desired).
- Strong knowledge of Git (desired).
- Experience with Jira and Confluence (desired).
