About the role
- Deliver prospect development consulting for clients in healthcare and academic medicine, higher education, and other nonprofit sectors.
- Provide solution-driven counsel, develop high-quality client deliverables, and collaborate with BWF colleagues to ensure recommendations are actionable and tailored to client context.
- Conduct client work and provide direct consulting, producing clear, actionable deliverables that support decision-making and change adoption.
- Serve as a team member on larger engagements and lead select, smaller engagements as assigned.
- Collaborate regularly with internal team members and clients to ensure cohesive, high-quality work delivered by deadline, including coordinating inputs, tracking decisions, managing risks and issues, and escalating shifts in scope or timeline.
- Meet annual revenue and operating income goals through efficient delivery, strong client satisfaction, and active participation in business development efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in institutional advancement in higher education, healthcare, and/or other nonprofit settings preferred; consulting experience a plus.
- 2+ years of prospect development experience.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; ability to produce executive-ready written deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sharp analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to translate complex qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear, pragmatic recommendations.
- Superior time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and sustain high performance over time.
- Comfort and capability in business development activities, including lead identification, initial discovery conversations, and proposal development support.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
