About the role

  • Develop and expand a LEAN concept in coordination with all business units
  • Plan the introduction of LEAN and subsequently manage its implementation with the goals of reducing lead times and inventories and sustainably increasing productivity in manufacturing areas
  • Identify, implement and monitor the effectiveness of continuous improvement (CIP) projects and measures (developing and collecting effective KPIs and visualizing them to engage employees and managers)
  • Responsible for carrying out LEAN activities in the Piping Technology and pipeline and plant construction business units (production and administration)
  • Plan and implement change management measures to involve employees and managers at all levels
  • Provide further training and instruction to managers and employees

Requirements

  • Completed degree in a natural science or engineering discipline
  • Deep and broad expert knowledge in LEAN (flow principle, takt time, smoothing/heijunka, 5S, etc.), Kaizen, Six Sigma or comparable methods
  • Several years of professional experience in LEAN and quality management with demonstrable success in implementing LEAN measures and increasing productivity
  • Leadership experience managing production areas desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge desirable
  • Very good communication skills as well as experience and proven success in change management
  • High level of commitment, assertiveness and flexibility
  • Independent and responsible working style
  • English skills (Level B according to CEFR)
