Here at Burendo, we are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team.
This role is focused on winning new business, primarily in the private sector (SMB and Enterprise), by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals.
This is a role for someone who loves the thrill of the hunt, enjoys networking, and can balance consultative selling with commercial drive.
The role requires 3 days a week in our central Leeds office unless on client site.
Requirements
Generate and qualify your own leads through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
Work marketing-generated leads and opportunities from SDRs and lead generation tools to build a robust sales pipeline.
Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
Collaborate with the Head of Business Development on larger, more complex deals and enterprise opportunities.
Work closely with the presales team to qualify, shape, size, scope, and price client engagements appropriately.
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and CRM records, providing regular updates to the Head of Business Development.
Represent Burendo at networking events, industry forums, and potentially speak at events to raise our profile.
Champion Burendo's outcome-based, consultative approach in all client interactions.
Contribute to continuous improvement of our sales processes and approaches.
**Experience and Skills Required**
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in technology or consultancy.
Demonstrable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong prospecting and lead generation skills with the ability to build your own pipeline.
Excellent relationship-building and networking capabilities.
Comfortable working autonomously while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating and closing deals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
Familiarity with outcome-based or value-based selling approaches.
Willingness to learn about public sector procurement (frameworks, tendering processes).
Comfortable with public speaking or presenting at industry events.
Sector expertise in one or two verticals (e.g., financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing).
