About the role
- Provide leadership to the General Ledger Team including ownership of the account’s preparation process for management, group and statutory reporting
- Lead on VAT and Corporation Tax reporting and all Finance compliance tasks
- Management and development of General Ledger team
- Improve and test the I&F Finance internal control environment, including designing and implementing robust internal controls
- Identify control gaps and implement remediation actions to strengthen compliance
- Act as a key point of contact for tax advisors, external auditors, internal auditors, BV Group Finance, and HMRC
- Ensure timely preparation of audit deliverables and act as the main contact during audits
- Lead VAT return preparation and EC sales submissions
- Manage preparation and filing of UK statutory accounts
- Lead the corporation tax return preparation process
- Lead month-end reporting for the GL team ensuring accurate and timely completion
- Own the accounts preparation process for management, group, and statutory reporting
- Ensure accurate month-end close processes including balance sheet reviews
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA)
- Strong experience in financial reporting, audit, and financial control
- Proven financial management experience
- Experience with process automation and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of working capital optimisation and cash management
- Familiarity with FLEX processes or similar governance frameworks
- Experience supporting external and internal audit functions
- Experience of working within a large international group
- Leadership/development of a finance team
- Effective communicator and influencer, both verbal and written, to peers, business partners and senior managers
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
