About the role
- Assisting homeowners, contractors, or others applying for a permit
- Providing information and guidance regarding procedures for building permits
- Reviewing permit applications for required information
- Distributing applications for necessary reviews
- Monitoring progress of permit review
- Serving as liaison between reviewing agencies and applicant
- Tracking permit through inspection process to advise customer of status
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or possession of a GED
- Three (3) years of general clerical experience
- A minimum of two (2) years in strong customer service
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in construction, building, or permitting preferred
- Experience working with permitting type software is a plus
