About the role

  • Perform advanced geotechnical calculations for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, and slope stability
  • Plan, supervise, and interpret field and laboratory testing (e.g., SPT, CPT, boreholes) to evaluate soil/rock properties
  • Prepare interpretative reports, specifications, and design documents
  • Lead geotechnical deliverables, manage budgets, and ensure projects comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and structural engineers to resolve complex ground issues and provide value engineering
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical investigation and design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is often required
  • Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Seequent GeoStudio, gINT)
  • Familiarity with local and international codes (e.g., Eurocode, ASTM, BS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction
