About the role
- Perform advanced geotechnical calculations for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, and slope stability
- Plan, supervise, and interpret field and laboratory testing (e.g., SPT, CPT, boreholes) to evaluate soil/rock properties
- Prepare interpretative reports, specifications, and design documents
- Lead geotechnical deliverables, manage budgets, and ensure projects comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and structural engineers to resolve complex ground issues and provide value engineering
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- 15+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical investigation and design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is often required
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Seequent GeoStudio, gINT)
- Familiarity with local and international codes (e.g., Eurocode, ASTM, BS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction
