About the role
- To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation in microbiology
- Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation in microbiology
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses
- Provide input to corrective action procedures
- Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Have a diploma and/or equivalence in Microbiology
- Have experience in a microbiology laboratory (strong asset)
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
- Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook.
