About the role

  • Maintaining and quality check of critical reagents and proteins of mRNA display platform
  • Learn about and enhance mRNA display platform technology efforts at Protomer to accelerate lead finding and optimization process
  • Work on display screening efforts from lead finding to lead optimization of oral macrocyclic peptide discovery projects
  • Understand and adhere to standards for appropriate test methods and SOP’s
  • Prepare a variety of samples for testing using prescribed testing methods, following testing standards/specifications
  • Perform quality and safety checks on samples submitted prior to testing
  • Conduct testing on a variety of samples using prescribed testing methods, following testing standards/specifications appropriate to the sample
  • Perform testing in coordination with internal and external contacts, coworkers, and supervision from management
  • Able to troubleshoot with N+1 for any client issues or questions with the aim of enhancing client satisfaction and improving client relations
  • Accurately report and record test data in electronic notebook or handwritten notebooks as needed in a timely manner
  • Prepare a variety of equipment for testing using prescribed standards/specifications
  • Report safety, instrument and technical issues to the appropriate contacts
  • Prepare stock solutions, and keeping shelves and reagent stocked
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current methods and products to be tested
  • Follow guidelines set forth with clients and in Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Adhere to the requirements of the Quality System
  • Prepares written technical reports and documentation in electronic notebook
  • Perform basic data analysis as assigned
  • Assist with training
  • Performs testing independently and with limited to no supervision from management
  • Identify, troubleshoot and provide suggested technical solutions to clients and management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related field
  • Minimum of 2 year(s) of experience with molecular Biology techniques (PDR, Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blotting)
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word & Excel
