About the role

  • Lead Solar Technical Advisory and Independent Engineering in the Middle East, Caspian Sea region
  • Conduct solar energy resource assessments
  • Evaluate project designs
  • Support clients through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Interpret technical aspects of contracts
  • Understand all aspects of solar energy technologies
  • Engage clients to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Deliver timely and efficient completion of the solar team’s work
  • Conduct pre-construction, independent engineering (IE), and operational energy assessments
  • Provide technical support for Independent Engineering (IE) and Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) services
  • Analyze project deals, assessing commercial risks associated with technical inputs and design

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/ Btech degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in solar resource assessment, energy yield modeling and tools
  • 8+ years of experience in the solar sector
  • 6+ years of related industry experience in the power sector
  • Expertise in technical specifications which affect performance for solar modules, inverters, trackers, and other project components
  • Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
  • Experience working in the Middle East, Caspian Sea is vital
  • Willingness to travel as needed (25% or less)
