About the role

  • Establish and lead the legal department
  • Structure, build and strategically develop a growing legal team
  • Design processes for the efficient handling of legal matters
  • Handle and prioritize consumer law inquiries
  • Analyze, legally classify and professionally address consumer-law issues
  • Develop standards for legal consumer advice
  • Prepare expert opinions and guidelines
  • Provide internal legal advice to the association
  • Advise the Executive Board, divisional leadership and working groups on legal matters
  • Manage and review contractual matters
  • Legal assessment and administration of contracts with external partners
  • Draft contracts related to projects, collaborations and memberships
  • Provide legal support on association law
  • Ensure legally compliant association structures and resolutions
  • Contribute to bylaw/statute development, committee processes and compliance structures
  • Represent the association in political and public contexts
  • Provide legal support for political initiatives and consumer-protection legislation
  • Legally position the association with ministries, authorities and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Completed law degree with the Second State Examination (fully qualified lawyer)
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: consumer law, contract law, association/nonprofit law, compliance/data protection, or commercial law
  • Experience building legal structures or experience in a senior legal role is an advantage
  • Ability to prepare complex matters in a clear and precise manner
  • Strong sense of responsibility, structured thinking and a passion for shaping processes
  • Willingness to work remotely and flexibly on a voluntary basis
  • Interest in political engagement and societal impact
