About the role
- Design, build, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions in Power BI and QlikView
- Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications
- Prepare, validate, and analyze data using SQL or similar tools to support accurate reporting
- Develop basic to intermediate data models, calculations (e.g., DAX), and visualizations that support business insights
- Assist in data integration efforts by working with senior developers to connect on-prem and cloud data sources
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance to ensure reports are accurate, reliable, and user-friendly
- Evaluate and enhance existing dashboards and BI assets to improve performance and usability
- Support ongoing maintenance of BI platforms and applications, including updates to Power BI and QlikView reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business, IT, and data engineering—to ensure alignment and data consistency
- Create and maintain documentation for reports, datasets, data definitions, and BI processes
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and governance practices within BI solutions
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement
- Support cross-functional projects by supplying analytical and development solutions, data extracts, and ad-hoc reports
- Maintain proper access controls for dashboards, reports, and data models
Requirements
- 3 years of experience developing BI reports, dashboards, or analytics solutions
- Experience developing BI dashboards and reports using Power BI; familiarity with QlikView is a plus
- Ability to write SQL queries to extract, join, and validate data accurately
- Understanding of relational databases, data warehouses, and foundational data modeling concepts
- Knowledge preparing and validating data for reporting, including basic transformation and quality checks
- Ability to interpret business requirements and converting them into report specifications
- Familiarity using Microsoft tools such as Excel and SharePoint in analytics workflows
- Prior exposure with cloud or hybrid data environments (Azure, Snowflake, AWS, Databricks) is beneficial
- (Optional) Exposure to Microsoft Fabric components (Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse/Warehouse, pipelines)
- (Optional) Basic Python scripting for data preparation or automation tasks
