About the role
- Own a book of business tied to SaaS migrations, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities within your assigned accounts.
- Build and strengthen trusted relationships with municipal leaders and department heads, positioning yourself as a strategic partner.
- Proactively uncover opportunities by aligning client needs with BS&A’s expanding portfolio of SaaS solutions and payment processing tools.
- Lead customers through the decision-making process when migrating to SaaS, creating urgency and demonstrating ROI.
- Deliver tailored presentations and value propositions to finance directors, IT leaders, and city managers that highlight efficiency, risk reduction, and cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal solution engineers, implementation teams, and leadership to close deals and ensure seamless delivery.
- Manage your pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and consistent communication with leadership.
- Stay current on product roadmap developments and industry trends to position new features and solutions as must-haves for your clients.
- Represent BS&A at client meetings, regional events, conferences, and roadshows to strengthen relationships and expand opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales within software or government technology.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quotas and driving measurable revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and the unique challenges of municipal government clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) for client meetings, demos, and presentations.
