About the role

  • Prepare installations by reviewing the system's technical specifications and verifying technical and equipment prerequisites internally and with the customer to ensure successful completion within agreed deadlines
  • Perform on-site system installations and provide client handover training to ensure commissioning is completed in accordance with the specifications
  • Carry out regular and/or preventive maintenance according to the defined protocol for the relevant system to meet compliance or contractual requirements
  • Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions on-site and/or via remote access to restore operational condition
  • Provide ongoing follow-up and maintain high-quality customer relationships to ensure long-term business partnerships
  • Prepare external and internal activity reports and enter reporting into the designated business software to ensure traceability of work and correct cost allocation
  • Act as the liaison between factory experts and the customer to resolve complex issues
  • Monitor and manage maintenance contracts
  • Build trust to serve as an effective interface between the customer and Bruker, ensuring customer satisfaction and enabling the sale of service contracts and new equipment.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering or materials science
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand complex electromechanical systems and strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience using tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Experience with nano-mechanical instruments, white light interferometry, 3D optical profilers and/or stylus profilers is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently and to deliver training sessions
  • Good IT/computer skills
  • Fluent English
  • Valid driving license for the EU/United Kingdom
