About the role

  • Build and maintain high-quality CMS-driven web experiences that power BrowserStack’s global marketing and product presence.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, designers, and product teams to ship fast, responsive, and reliable WordPress solutions.
  • Develop and maintain WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
  • Convert designs/wireframes into responsive, production-ready pages.
  • Build reusable, clean, and maintainable front-end components.
  • Integrate APIs and third-party tools.
  • Fix bugs and improve performance, accessibility, and SEO.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to ship features quickly.
  • Continuously learn and grow under mentorship from senior engineers.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience building websites or web applications
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress basics (themes, plugins, CMS workflows)
  • Experience building responsive, mobile-first web pages
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML)
  • Basic understanding of authentication/authorization concepts
  • Hands-on with Git for version control
  • Knowledge of MySQL or relational databases
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong learning mindset with good communication and collaboration skills
