About the role
- Perform complex customer support activities involving the installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance of Brooks’ equipment and systems.
- Isolate and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective action.
- May act as Local / Shift / Site Lead to coordinate work direction for other Service Engineers.
- Interface with customers to ensure satisfaction with equipment and service levels.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment conforming to work protocols and policies.
- Train Brooks and customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement programs and projects for both customers and Brooks.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, technical Certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing electro-mechanical / electronics technical support / repair service.
- Experience with lasers and sensing devices for positioning circuitry on robotic units.
- Experience troubleshooting microelectronics schematics and digital circuits.
- Proficiency with PCs, Windows, and DOS based Operating Systems.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable mode of transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, scaffoldings.
- Ability to work in awkward positions and in confined spaces.
- Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed.
