About the role
- drafting and reviewing contracts, documents and supporting our partnership projects
- doing legal research and analysis on various legal and regulatory matters concerning either BrokerChooser or our broker-dealer partners
- keeping our records and internal documentation straight (e.g. company resolutions, board meeting minutes, employment agreements, supplier contracts)
- supporting our scam fighting efforts (e.g. get in contact with regulators and key stakeholders in the field, research and provide data to them to fight financial crimes)
- providing administrative and organizational support to other teams (e.g. HR, Finance, Operations, Squads, etc.)
Requirements
- armed with a startup mindset, motivated and self-driven, with a desire to make an impact
- adaptable, confident and ready to step out of their comfort zone if needed
- able to work independently, deal with multiple tasks effectively while also meeting deadlines
- equipped with strong written and oral communication skills
- familiar with legal writing, legal research and has good problem-solving skills
- able to handle sensitive and confidential information
- fluent in English
- available to work at least 20 hours a week, ideally working from the office 1 day per week minimum
- professional experience, e.g. at a student organization, legal or operations-related job
- basic understanding of the financial industry
