About the role
- Design, deploy, and administer UNIX / Linux based infrastructure
- Input into UNIX and Linux strategy and infrastructure roadmap
- Prepare project plans, provide estimates for project tasks, and assist with prioritization in relation to capacity planning and performance analytics
- Collaborate with vendors, manage service providers, and colleagues
- Oversee operations, establish process and standard operating procedures
- Build OS images, patch bundles, scripts and automation
- Build CI/CD Pipelines
- Write code in Python/Ruby/Go and desired state for Chef/Ansible
Requirements
- 5+ years in a similar role
- 2+ years of experience with AWS/Azure (EC2, S3, AMI, EBS, IAM, VPC)
- 5+ years of experience in engineering Linux, AIX & Solaris environment
- 5+ years of experience with VMware based virtualization
- Comfortable in several scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, etc)
- 2+ years of experience with clustering technologies (Veritas / PCS)
