About the role
- Organising committee and advisory group meetings and maintaining member contact lists (c. 200 individuals from the industry are involved)
- Compiling and preparing all committee paperwork by co-ordinating with BVCA team members involved
- Taking minutes at meetings and following up on action points with BVCA and committee members
- Assisting in the organisation of any committee related events
- Answering telephone calls and managing the committees email account and inbox
- Updating the committees and advisory groups pages on the BVCA’s website, and keeping committee lists updated on the CRM system (no prior experience required as training will be given)
- General administrative, clerical and research support
- Ad-hoc support to the events team and office management team as necessary
Requirements
- Excellent academic credentials
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail
- Interest in Corporate Governance and the its role within an organisation
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Previous experience of Minute taking would be a big advantage
- Previous experience in governance/company secretarial support preferred
- Professional manner with the ability to deal with stakeholders of all levels of seniority
