About the role
- Protect the integrity of the scheme by managing fraud risks
- Ensure a robust Financial Crime framework
- Oversee AML and KYC checks
- Investigate suspicious loan applications
- Provide expert guidance to internal teams and partners
- Monitor fraud defences across partner network
- Act as scheme overseer
- Review operational data and automated alerts to identify risks
- Investigate cases of suspected fraud
- Implement measures to mitigate losses
- Assess applications, investigate documents, and ensure compliance with internal policies, public sector standards, and scheme obligations
Requirements
- Experience as a fraud investigator within Retail Financial Services
- Knowledge of fraud detection systems
- Familiarity with CIFAS or similar industry prevention bodies
- Excellent understanding of fraud detection, prevention, KYC, and AML procedures
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to make clear, informed decisions
- Understanding of end-to-end customer journeys in financial services
- Operational process knowledge
- Experience in SQL preferred but not essential
