About the role

  • Act as the lead Finance Business Partner for the Chief Banking officer
  • Oversee a small team ensuring accurate forecasting, management accounts, and financial analysis
  • Provide trusted, value-adding advice and constructive challenge
  • Ensure budgets are effectively managed to deliver organisational objectives
  • Drive evidence-based decision making, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across financial processes
  • Support with business cases and investment appraisals

Requirements

  • Qualified finance professional with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
  • Experience in senior finance business partnering and management accounting
  • Knowledge of public sector finance frameworks (MPM/CBG); risk and counter-fraud awareness; and workforce planning experience is desirable
  • Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Demonstrable excellent communication and influencing skills
  • People management experience is essential
