About the role
- Act as the lead Finance Business Partner for the Chief Banking officer
- Oversee a small team ensuring accurate forecasting, management accounts, and financial analysis
- Provide trusted, value-adding advice and constructive challenge
- Ensure budgets are effectively managed to deliver organisational objectives
- Drive evidence-based decision making, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across financial processes
- Support with business cases and investment appraisals
Requirements
- Qualified finance professional with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
- Experience in senior finance business partnering and management accounting
- Knowledge of public sector finance frameworks (MPM/CBG); risk and counter-fraud awareness; and workforce planning experience is desirable
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
- Demonstrable excellent communication and influencing skills
- People management experience is essential
